I've been using the academic (free) version for about a year now for visible/near IR spectrophotometric applications on spectrometers I have constructed. Spectragryph is undoubtedly the best available free spectroscopy software and is also ideal for supporting the development of new spectrometers. The support for USB spectrometers (as well as a huge range of commercial instruments) means that amateur webcam spectrometer builders can gave access to professional quality data acquisition and processing. Many thanks to Friedrich Menges for making this great program available and best wishes for future developments.
